Was cleaning the G3 lens the other day with a soft cloth and I noticed that it wiggles slightly. The actual glass moves very very little.

Is this supposed to be this way or do I have a problem?

That is normal for the G3. It has a "floating" lens. (I read that somewhere.) I don't know why they designed that way.
