Please can somebody tell me are slim filters necessary for use with Canon EF-S 10-22mm wide angle lens? I am considering B+W MRC 77mm filter but I'm not sure will some vignetting occur  ?
Thanks!

I believe the slim ones are designed for these UWA. it's your best bet if you really need a filter on it.

I've seen people claim the Normal (good quality made) haven't given them any issues. I can vouch for the Hoya Pro1 Digital slim type working just fine.

I would think with something that wide you'll need slim - but I have no experence with that lens.

Slim. When I had the 10-22 the only filter that would not vignette at 10 mm was the hoya superslim pola.

I use the B+W polarizier with the "newer" FPro mount, and have no problems with the 10-22.
I've also used the Nikon (Gasp!) CPL II and it works great as well.
