I bought a lens from one of this board members it's a Sigma Apo f2.8 70-210.

It all looks nice and does work on the 10D, but as soon as I choose an aperture higher than 2.8 the photo is taken but err 99 blinks.

According to the seller this never happened (I asked when I bought), does the lens needs to be rechipped ?

Greetings,
Frank

Is it a 70-210mm f2.8, or a 70-200mm f/2.8?

If it is the latter I am surprised,. that is a new lens. Does it say "EX" on it? What about "HSM"?

The 70-210mm sounds like an older lens, in which case it most likely needs the re-chip :(

It's an older lens.
70-210 APO f2.8

I will try to contact Sigma NL tomorrow, last week they told me they did NOT rechip anymore.

Frank
