This Spotted Towhee was photographed at the Pinnacles National Monument in central California with the Canon 100-400 1/400, f/8, 400 ISO. This shy bird was scratching the leaf litter for breakfast and then enjoying a morning bath in the pool of a small stream near the Condor Gulch trail. C&C welcome.

Oh man, I love the spotted Towhee, I have a shot from 15 years ago that I took when I had film camera and I want to retake it with 400 mm lens. Great shot, my favorite is the first one.

Thanks, Dennis. I've always liked the Spotted Towhee as well but they can be hard to photograph sometimes. This one was mostly thinking about his bath...
