Great series of shots, no I don't know what it is. My favorite is the very last shot. Where are you located?

i like the first and last the best. the first one i would rotate a bit ccw so the bird doesnt seem like it is falling out of the frame

dancinec: Nr Manchester, UK.
V-t-i: I hadn't noticed it before you pointed it out, it's hard to find a horizontal/vertical to check against, I'll have a go later though :)

Nice series - 100% confirmation that it is a Dunnock. Interesting bird - they form 2 male 1 female (or 2 female 1 male) breeding partnerships. (Three in a nest romps!!) They are also one of the least mobile birds in the UK being very loyal to a very small territory.
Where about near Manchester? I work in Manchester!

Excellent series and I love the context. I used to know of a threesome when I was a kid who inhabited the same row of hedging for a couple of years just across from my parents house. Very sweet little birds.

I thought that was going to be a dodgy post then! ;)

No, very innocent ... it's the New Yorkers and their Roman Orgies that you need to be concerned about. Hopefully no wild birds are ever involved

Glad I got the ID correct then. I can tell some birds apart, but others need a bit more time with the RSPB Pocket Bird book.
I'm in Warrington, midway along the M62 between Manchester and Liverpool, except I'm on the south side, and use the M56 to get to work in Manchester.
