I found this local camera store that has 5 foot x 36 foot seamless paper for $9.99. So I figured I would by some and give a portrait try.
My two favorite girls:

Right after this picture was taken the little demon child (I say that in a loving kinda way) wanted to draw on the background because she heard me call it paper. Se told me that paper is for drawing on and she wants to draw on it. So why not??
This shot I am crazy about, I am not sure how I want to crop it or if I even should. I would like to hear any comments on this.

That looks like an awesome backdrop. Was it just regular paper??

Thank you for the compliment. I think her toe is a little close to the edge of the frame. :(

the one of your daughter would be a cool start for a series dubbed multiplicity. . . there have been threads on this all over but I added steps on how to do this in photoshop over at the DCRP and have linked to that thread because of that so that you or anyone else can see how its done if you weren't already aware. . .
heres that link to the multiplicity thread (http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14346&highlight=multiplicity) on page two is the photo example instruction set I made.
Anyway, I was thinking here you could capture her drawing in many different poses and make it into one image. . . I think it would be a cool idea. . . ??

Both shots are good. On the first shot I would move further away from the BG. That will eliminate BG shadows and add some fill lighting for the floor. That said I really like it, skin tones look right on and expressions are wonderful. As for your second shot, PRICELESS, don't change anything on this shot. For me the empty space adds to the composition and even her shadow cast is a plus.

I have used the paper in the past for backgrounds.
At the big art supply stores you can buy how much you want in many different colors and its very cheap. Now you will not find this like at a Michaels or an arts and craft store check just an art supply store.
I love the coloring one LOL.

Very nice. I like them both but #2 stands out. Cute idea well executed. Even the lighting works.
