Bridge at sunset

This is the Mississippi river bridge in Baton Rouge, LA. 6 second exposure on tripod, f 22.0, ISO 400. 50mm f1.8 on 350XT. Any CC would be appreciated, including PP advice.

good photo.. too much sky and you should have shot where the ends of the bridge filled from left to right..

An end-on shot would've been better for sure. This shot was taken from where I park my car at work, the 5th floor of a parking garage. It was very easy for me to grab my camera and tripod and snap off some shots. Thanks for the comments.

Is there anything that can be done about the huge starbursts that come off of the lights? My guess is no, but maybe some of you gurus have found a way to conquer these. (preferably without having to lasso each one).

Hehe...I LIKE the starbursts and I LIKE the whole shot!! At first I thought you put the starbursts in on purpose in PS, but then looked at your shot settings.

At f/22, the aperture is so small and the blades so close together, they cause the light to bend around their edges (diffraction), hence the attractive starburst. If you don't want them, shoot again at around f/8 or bigger for say...oh...3/4 to 1.5 seconds.

But yeah, further to the right of where you shot this would give better composition and you'd see more of the lights on the bridge.

Don't necessarily get rid of the starbursts though...I like 'em.:D

yeah, i like the stars due to the light. it will be nicer if ou can somewhat raise yourself like maybe puting the tripod on the bench or something. : )
