I used this link to get CS2 for $299 as an upgrade from Elements. I'm picking it up tomorrow from DHL. I came across an extra Elements disk with a different # than the one I sent in. I don't need it , so anyone who wants the extra serial # to get CS2 from Adobe for $299 let me know w/pm. First response gets it. This link still seems to be working and the number that I send you should work also, but no guarantees.

It's 10pm and I'm going to bed. I'll check in tomorrow.

Not all copies of Elements qualify for upgrade to CS2,

I was able to upgrade to CS2 from Elements 3.0 for $299 when I purchased my tablet from Wacom. The deal was, buy the tablet which shipped with a copy of Elements 3.0 (with a special serial number recognized by Adobe) and upgrade for to CS2 for $299. Essentially, I got the tablet and CS2 for the normal price of CS2.

I upgraded from a store purchased copy of of elemenst 3, not bundled. I don't remember where I got this other copy (maybe w/scanner or cam) but if anyone wants the # let me know. It seems Adobe isn't too particular about the numbers.

You'll be happy with the purchase. I don't know how I could live without my copy of CS2. I actually took the plunge and snatched up with entire creative suite - thanks to work!!!

Yep.. I've been using the tryout and quite frankly, nothing comes close. I have an old version of Elements, which worked, but was missing a lot. I looked at Elements 4, and while the UI was updated, It was still missing a lot.

(edit: the context of this post is missing, I just recently purchased CS2 as an upgrade to Elements at the normal upgrade price, and kicked myself for not going for the 20D when I bought my camera...)

I recently upgraded from PSCS to CS2 and I have switched back because it is ever so slow and I don't feel like upgrading the computer! From elements to CS2 is probably a worthy upgrade; from PSCS to CS2 is not such a necessary step!

So did anyone upgrade from 2.0 and get it upgraded, it doesn't mention whihc version of Elements you need for the upgrade and I'd hate to assume its all versions.
And when you upgrade, do you have to download the program or do they send you an upgrade CDrom??
Thanks!
