Friend Stacy in Vegas

I shot this at Club Light in Belligio, in Vegas. I used the paint brush and selected color to get the grey background while leaving her in color. (I saw Studio 54 at MGM here in Vegas always uses this type of photograph in their advertising)
Is there anything I could do to make this better?

Hello! I really like this shot but I thought the person in the white shirt behind Stacey was very distracting - it would look better is Stacey's whole body was on a darker background. Perhaps the glasses and stuff on her right could be cloned out too, although this would leave no other foreground detail, which may not look right. I would also like to see either all or none of the waist on her skirt, rather than it cutting through the bottom of the shot. But overall I think it is really good and these comments are all those of a confirmed beginner!

From a guys POV... nice photo.

From a photographers point of view, yeah the background is distracting... a larger aperture probably wouldnt of hurt too much.
