Resize stopped working, HELP

Since my server was upgraded to the latest PHP release I cannot see any new thumbs or microthumbs or in fact any images at all unless I use the manual upload option

According to the messages the imagemagik is producing the sizes and putting them in the right places but they aren't there. Even the the unresizeed picture isn't there.

FTP and HTTP paths match, and I haven't changed anything from when it used to work. Imagemagik test works fine

If I have to ask my host what should I ask them?

EDIT: My server IP address had changed and it was also my FTP address. Now it's fixed.
I've been staring at the bloody thing for two hours trying all sorts to fix it and as soon as I post this I have a flash of inspiration.. Sod's Law
