Hello, I stumbled across this forum while researching lenses. I like what I have found so far. I recently purchased the Canon 70-200 f4L lens after much debate over this lens and the 70-300 IS lens. After using this lens just once, I am convinced I made the right purchase. Wow what a lens! Anyway, I thought I would post a few pics taken on that first shoot. I have a Canon 10D (yes, I need to upgrade!), and used my new lens, while shooting these pics at 1/1000th on TV setting (overexposed one-stop for the snow), with an ISO of 200. I hope I posted attachments properly. Only one way to find out. I welcome any comments.

Welcome. I really like the first image. The second image reminds me to watch which direction im shooting in. My point is that the ski lift and the person on the lift is really distracting. My eye keeps wanting to focus on that instead of the snowboarder in the air. Keep the shots coming.

Bryan, the people on the chair lift was intentional to give more perspective of the skier actually upside down. (At least that was the intent) Thanks for the comments. How come some posts have photos that are so much larger with them?

Great shots. The first one is particularly good- especially considering he's coming towards you which makes focusing that much more difficult. Consider making the shots slightly bigger (up to 800x800 pixels). Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum Joe. I agree with Bryan, the lift is a little distracting. Check out this thread it covers everything you need to know about posting images. BTW, 10D is still an awesome camera.
