I have taken the task to shoot some prom formal full length photos, instead of renting the lightings, I'm thinking of buying the Digibee package from Alienbees http://www.alienbees.com/packages.html

Because I wanna try start my studio later on, need some lightings anyway, so can anyone tell me if this package is enough for both the prom photos and studio work (or maybe too much), Or do I need to add something else (like any cord), are these bees gonna be ready right out of box with my current gears?

Thank you for your answers

The DigiBee package would be good for what you'll be doing. I would highly recommend upgrading to the B800's (they won't have to work as hard) and I would use air-cushioned stands or heavy duty. I bought Heavy Duty Air Cushioned stands from Adorama for about $80 with shipping. If you're gonna be working with a tripod, I'd also recommend a light trigger...something cheap.

I agree with Ruffneck. I got Impact stands from B&H, they're good, but sometimes a bit of a pain to get the legs down.
