View Full Version : Flash image bottom problem

When using the built-in flash on the D30 and the Canon 28-70L, I sometimes have the flash not cover the very bottom of the image. So the bottom is much darker than the part covered by the flash. Is this a lens problem, a built-in flash problem or a me problem? Anyone else experienced this? Thanks.

Sorry if this has been covered before. I search for this but found nothing. I am an amateur photographer.

hi...

seen it too...it's actually the shadow caused by the end of the lens barrel when you have it zoomed out (it's extended, remember?)...i hardly ever use the internal flash but one day i was in a hurry and didn't want to futz around with the 550 (i.e. take it out of the bag : )

best way around it is of course...

external flash : )
