Do you think it's a little on the dark side? Comments appreciated, thanks

The horizon is almost dead center, a no no, and the young lady is just beyond the center but there is no receiving area for her to move into so the image is disconcerting. The foreground is dark, but I like the dark sky, clouds and hills. A little PS work could lighten only the foreground, and cropping might strengthen the composition.

It would have been better to compose the woman running more to the left of the image so she had somewhere to go in the picture.

Sometimes rules are meant to be broken - in this image I dont think the horizon is an issue and I like it as a counterpoint - clouds v sands - I think its more the placement of the runner... my 0.02....

i agree with six20aus that the centered horizon isnt such an issue in this but i do think the dark featureless foreground isnt adding any thing to your composition, also there is a blue cast over the entire image that doesnt really accentuate the setting suns features. I decide to warm the image with a photofilter and then added an light orange neutral density filter to the sky. then i used levels to darken the shadows and add contrast to the image. o and i cropped it. hope this gives you an idea of this images potential.

I like it. The question of, is it too dark is up to you. It depends on what effect you are looking for. I agree with the others, I would have composed it with the woman more to the left.
