This is a shot that always sells. All of the variations are good sellers also, like the bride with her dad etc. Comments? ...Bob

Again, I like it! Do you usually do a version where they fill a little more of the frame?

get really tight ... that always sell for me (i.e. over the shoulder with expressions)

Good overall shot that gives a sense of the event. Next good shot would be of the couple looking into the camera, from about 4 feet away (waist up) with their arms down so they don't obscure their faces.

Thats pretty...the last few weddings i shot i think i ended up taking about 30+ photo's of the first dance...for me and my hubby it was important, he doesn't like to dance so he plucked up heaps of courage to do it just for me :) so i feel sentimental with it and go all out with the pics haha

(I always end up only using about 2 or 3) my brother's wedding was awesome, they started dancing slowly then it sounded like the record was broken and then they started busting out moves to "I was made for loving you baby" it was cool....now i put it in proshow gold and it looks SO FUNNY! hahaha

You instruct people during a first dance? I tell people "ignore me, ignore everyone else, it's your dance".

I might remove the guard in this one, perhaps.

Tim, thats just the way they danced. No posing, just looks that way. However I usually pose a few also. :-) ...Bob

Nice expression on her face looking up into his - natural, loving. What I had in mind about being closer would be to have it framed from just below her elbow.

Brilliant - you've got a super powerful flash there.... ;)

How about this? :-) ...Bob

Sort of reminds me of "Center Spotlight" for the pairs skating finals at the olympics - very dramatic.

That picture is available light. No flash. There was a table that showed up to the right of the couple against the wall and it was cloned out. You can tell by the streaks. Still it is one of my favorite pictures. They are alone together in a room full of people. I was lucky not to get any stray people in the view. ...Bob

That's one of the nice things about shots lit from the side - you often get dramatic shadows and texture that don't show with head on lighting. The folds in her wedding gown as well as other details are revealed by the offset ambient light.

Is it me or do these not seem very sharp?
