Shot with the 10D, and a Sigma f2.8 70-210Apo stuck in 2.8 because it still needs to be chipped.
Hope you like them.....

Frank,
these pics are great!
Is that the natural bokeh of the Sigma lens or did you work on the backgrounds in Photoshop?

Andy

Yes, great shots, but the bokeh does look a little weird. Especially the giraffe shot.

Hi,
Sorry but I'm just a beginner (well actualy I am), Bokeh is the way the DOF is rendered if I understand correctly, what's wrong here ?
I just bought the lens and it's still stuck in AP 2.8 because it needs to be chipped by Sigma in a few weeks.
I did not HEAVY PS work, only a bit sharpening and some curves, 90% is done with the RAW plugin.
Please explain.

Frank

Very nice work! I especially like the first shot with the elephant and the water spray.
I have a very amature question for you though. How do you get your name to appear in the lower left corner of your pictures. I've just started using Elements 2.0, and haven't seen an option like that yet.
Thanks,

Hi,
I use Photoshop but I think it should also work in Elements.
Just get the LETTER icon and type in your name somewhere you want, I use a BRUSH font. Than select the opacity of that layer to somewhere arround 70-80 (depending on the shot).

To copy right your photos in Photo Shop Elements you have to press the ALT key and type 0169 from your number key pad so it would be like this
Press and hold down ALT key and type 0169
(ALT 0169)
This will give you the Copy right symbol.
My understanding for a correct copy right you need to do this.
Copy Right symbol followed by the year followed by your name. Example: C 2003 Bill Johnson
The copy right symbol will show up correctly when you enter the key stroke combo.
