Hello all,

I am new to photography, my 10D is certainly helping me venture out. Please help me out with any critiques you may have. I certainly need the help and would value your input.

Is the backround too plain?

Suggestions on better composition. etc.

Thank you!

Lovely DOF and a wonderful capture on the insect.
I would have played a bit with levels to get the insect really standing out.

Nice shots!

I particularly like the first shot. I do think it would benefit from some strong cropping on the right side. Much of the right half of the photo is extraneous.

The second photo is an amazing moment. I think it could also benefit from some top/right side cropping.

I like tightly-cropped pictures, so others might say I'm overdoing it. Post more images; you're doing good work.

I particularly like the light and shadows on the first photo. The insect on the second shot must have taken some great timing. Very nice.
