My new baby, a 2 day old Mazda RX-8 Revelation (a limited edition Australian model).

Both are HDR images from photoshop CS2.
#1 is 7 images covering around 6 stops, #2 is 8 images covering around 7 stops.

Both taken with a 20D and 10-22 @ 12mm (#1) and 13mm (#2). f8 used for both.

My new baby, a 2 day old... It's time to take it outside, Mat. C'mon, you know you'll have to sooner or later? ;)

Very nice Mat. My boss was looking at getting one, but they couldn't get an auto for 3 months!

They should only come manual haha. Its the only way you can REALLY enjoy the car. Nice cars ether way, still I my heart belongs to the Rx-7s ...

RX-8's are fun to drive; I got to autocross one at a Mazda event near me last year. It looks like they make nice subjects for photos too. I like the pics, but I think they'd look better outside -you'll have to post some more. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/grinser/grinning-smiley-006.gif

Nice one. I dunno if it's the monitor i'm on right now but the second pic seems a little dark.

Nice pics though.

Beautiful car. Can you please explain this process? Thanks. :-)

Thanks guys :)

The HDR process was just using Photoshop CS2's "merge to HDR" function.
This article explains it quite well:
http://luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/hdr.shtml

The photos I used in the merge process were each about 1 stop apart in exposure (by changing only the shutter speed).

It possibly is a bit dark, I edited those pics on a monitor that wasn't calibrated and might well have been a bit too bright.

No worries :)
It seems to work well, and it's -really- easy to use.
