View Full Version : convert panoramas to avi

Hello,
quite a while ago I read the review of a software that would record a video of how you would zoom into a (larger) picture and pan around in it. I didn't need it then and forgot about it.
Now I would like to create a DVD with my last pictures. But some of them are panoramic, which would result in a TV Image of 500x50 pixels. Not such a good idea. :-)
My idea would be to create an AVI file which scrolls through the enlarged image from left to right.
But now, after some searching on the net, I do not find a reference to that program any more. Can anybody help me out?
Thanks in advance,
bd

AVI isn't a common format for panoramas - Quicktime VR is more common. It shouldn't be too hard to find some links about QTVR panoramas.

Hi David,
maybe I was confusing with mentioning the panorama.
I only have a partial panorama, which is nothing more than a JPG of 10.000x1500 pixels. But any other picture of similar dimensions would be the same.
I would like to make a movie how I e.g. zoom into the left portion of the picture until it covers the full screen height and then scroll the visible part of the picture from left to right. Like you would look at the normal scenery.
And for this I would need a video.
