OK, i have the A70 with is 3x opt, ontop of that i have the TC-DC52 2.4x. Makes 7.2. Add the dig zoom to that of 3.2 = 23 dig, then add an extra 10 review dig zoom makes 230 dig zoom? Are my calculations corryet?

Basically, all opticals get caluclated first, then add the dig then review?

A70 = 3x
A70 + Tele = 7.2
A70 + Tele + Dig = 23

A70 + Tele + Dig + Review = 230

Seems like 230 is a huge zoom thats all.

I have looked at images that are zoomed in this far and do know how shocking the quality is, but just trying to put a number to it.

Not quite !!

Calculations for taking picture are correct, 3 (Opt) x 2.4 (lense) x 3.2 (dig) = 23

Once you have taken the picture, you can review up to 10x zoom, the picture has already been captured.

The best advice for digital zoom is to turn it off.

Any digital zooming can be done on a computer, in Photoshop etc, with more control.

I know you are limited to 23x when taking a shot, but i just though when u are reviewing, when u zoom in fully u are actually looking at a shot that would be 230x.
