Hi there,

Just thought I'd share the proof that spring is finally coming around at our latitudes... Here's a very simple landscape shot I took yesterday in Germany. The shadows of the clouds were just passing, which gave the lighting you see on the grass.

Shot was taken with 5D, 24-70 f/2.8L with circular polarizer. 30mm; 1/500sec; f/2.8; ISO 100. PP done on the sky to enhance blue color and cloud/sky contrast: curve change applied with a gradient mask.

C&C are welcome.

Pretty colors, and nice clouds. The effect of the polarizer is very evident.

I'm glad that the better weather is coming as a friend and I are getting a boat to Ijmuiden in The Netherlands in May, and then driving to the south of Germany and back up via the Romantic Road. The whole purpose of the week is to take photographs!

Your shot reminded me of the default Windows XP wallpaper by the way. :)

I don't know any romantic roads here in The Netherlands, only stinking tarmac. Is that route in Germany somewhere? Have fun.

Ow. Yes now that you mention it. Didn't see that. I am very sorry about that. Didn't mean to give anyone nightmares featuring uncle Bill! I'll post the picture of a penguin as soon as I shoot one. Or an apple? ;) Hehe.

Yes it is in Germany (Die Romantische Strasse (http://www.romantischestrasse.de/?lang=uk))
