Hello everybody!

Right now I am testing different gallery scripts. So far I like Exhibition Engine most. But I am a bit unsure if I should use version 1.5 or wait for 2.0?
What's the advantage from 2.0 over 1.5?
Will it be easy to upgrade, changing groups and exhibitions to more nested groups or virtual exhibitons?
Is there a rough time frame for the release of 2.0?
Is there a limit on the number of photos per exhibition?

I know lots of questions but maybe someone can answer them and help me to decide.

???

Yes to both :)

Is there a limit on the number of photos per exhibition?

No.

If you have a place to play with the scripts before going live, (I develop on OS X which has Appache as part of the OS along with PHP and MySQL), I'd suggest playing with EE1.5 to get yourself familiar with Pekkas way of working things.
You will be for much the wiser....

Thanks all. Pekka, is there a chance to get any information about the rough time frame for the release or is it still too far away for telling it?

If I have a list of exhibition names from my offline photo administration (IMATCH) is there a chance to batch add that to EE? The table structure seems a bit complicated so it can't be done with altering just one table. It would save lots of manual input if Icould batch add the exhibition names from a *.txt file.
