Just some photos that I took while on a hike in Boise at the old penitentiary.
Comments welcomed.
The first is of a courtyard at the old penitentiary in Boise, ID.
The second is of a cellblock and another structure. I just kind of thought they looked cool.
The third is one of my son lightly tugging at a locked cell door. I liked the imagery of it.
The fourth is from the excercise yard looking up and out.
Number five is just a photo of a dumbwaiter sign. Don't know why I like it but I do.
The last is the result of a bit of photoshoppery. This didn't actually occur in nature. Really. I'm serious. It didn't.

#1 - Dunno slightly dull for me - perhaps closing in on some of the detail & texture on the wall would have been more my choice
#2 #3 #4 = VERTIGO! They could do with correction of the distortion so that the walls are straight.
I like #2 - it has character, the sky isn't washed out and lots of texture and lines... just UNSKEW it, perhaps.
Shot #3 would work, again UNSKEWED and perhaps cropping out the distracting ceiling bit. IN FACT - had you moved your viewpoint slightly, so as to include your son fully (withtout cutting off his foot) it would have been perfect.... the TRADITIONALIST would say that its always best to have something IN FRONT of where the main subject is heading/facing... i.e. showing the gates AHEAD of your son... although I guess one can interpret this as him walking 'out of the shot'. (Phew, sorry for rambling)
The waiter sign is funny. And interesting composition at the bottom of the shot. I would leave that as is.
The final shot... what can I say? I can see the humour/idea behind it but you need to practice a little more: the line where your lanscape meets the sky is untidy (there's green bits left... and its not been masked properly). Its all just for fun, I assume - so thanks for sharing and keep posting!

The first one defiantly needs to be rotated clockwise to straighten out the building. That is the first thing I was taught about PP and the first thing that should be done. I think the sign is pretty funny in the fifth one, however...there is to much negative space above it.
