Poss image use: Signwriting...cost ?

Sorry about this but another 'how much should I get' question coming up :confused:

I've been approached by an individual regarding use of one of my pics on the side of his van. Simple question is what sort of money should I be looking at ? It's a possible sale of a stock pic, I've not been commisioned to go out and get this shot for the individual.

AFAIK it for use on one van only.

Any pointers ? The usual websites for looking up advice on this kind of things dont include this sort of use. The closest I could think of was billboard use but they dont allow a 1x use only option !

Marc, I would base payment on maybe a one-off insertion in a local rag, based on the potential "readership" in the area that he covers (i.e. the range of possible viewing of his van)

Whatever you would charge for that, does that figure sound about right? It's difficult to say really with any accuracy.

The other option is to call a stock agency and ask them for an "image for your van" and see what they try and charge you!;-)

Just another thought..... Is it worth doing a special "deal" on the image - and get your tag-line, phone number, web-address included under the pic?
