 Hi!
I would like to know what is the main difference between Photoshop CS2
and Photoshop Elements 4???
I want to save some money, but do not know if I can do much with PS Elements 4.
Thank you for your time!

I'm not sure of the exact feature difference, but CS2 basically has every feature thrown in, including the kitchen sink. It is intended for pros or very serious hobbiest.
The elements is a simpler and cheaper version but still has more features than most photogs need.
I'd probably get the elements version if I were you. I have the elements 2 version myself.

I just upgraded to the Elements 4.0 and it is fantastic! I don't do much layering, learning to do RAW and it takes that format. I've been using Elements 3.0 for about a year. The upgrade is good and very inexpensive. Go for it!

I second Suzie's comments. I also recently upgraded to 4.0 and it's great. It now accepts some of the plugins that were previously only available for Photoshop 7.0 and up.

When you install 4.0, just decide which formats to accept. I just accepted every one because I didn't know any better, but everything loads so it's great.

You can switch File Associations after you have it loaded if you want. I believe it's in the Edit drop down menu. I think the ones you have selected open in PSE4 when no editor or viewer is open. You can open a pic from within PSE4 even if you don't have it's file type associated as long as it is a supported type.
