Nice pics! Did you use fill flash at all? Image 4 seems like it might, but I bet there is a lot of reflection of light coming from everywhere.

Well done Bosscat. Love the last two with natural backgrounds. First two are also very good, but buildings and such are very distracting. However, I realize that it cannot be helped sometimes..

No fill flash used, and your right, lotsa of light out on the snow on a sunny day.

Can't help having the buildings in the background, as the race is held downtown at the local ballpark. I coulda opened up to wide open, and used a shallow DOF to get rid of the backgrounds, but I hate when the track isn't spinning wildly. Next 2 races in the series are at skihills, which provide much more pleasing backgrounds.

The apartment building does help place the locale and give perspective to the shot IMO.
