I think I may be too shy to ever be a decent street photographer. But here is a stab at it.
The guys doesnt look so happy about the photograph, either does the dog.

This seems to be a lot more confrontational than a lot of street photography. Maybe try taking pictures of people who aren't looking right into the camera? :)

The dog seems combative, more so than the guy. Good start at street shooting, keep it up. What did they do after the shot? What did you do?

Nothing, I actually talked to him for a second or two about march madness. Actually a really nice laid back guy, just did not come across like that on film (so to speak-digital).

Ah, good. Flashing a smile, nodding or talking a while always works, and might lead to more photos. Good job!

Good shot. Street photography is difficult, people are so worried about having a camera pointed at them.
