Hello all,
Purchased a S50 no too long ago and noticed that the images I were taking were only 180dpi according to Photoshop. I am taking pictures using the Super Fine setting at 2592x1944. I'm a graphic artist and print at 150dpi at an absolute MINIMUM.

My friends Nikon 4 MP camera takes pictures at 300dpi.

My question is, is there any way too shoot at 300dpi with my S50?

Cameras don't take photos at dpi, it will take a shot at a set size, length/width, in pixels. The dpi comes in when you are displaying the photo.

If you display a 1800 pixel wide shot at 300 dots per inch, it will be 6 inches wide, if you display the same image at 180 dpi, it will be 10 inches wide.

Changing the dpi will not affect the amount of pixels in the image unless you resample.
