It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Are you talking about the basics? Crop, levels, contrast, sharpening?

Have you looked at these?

I haven't upgraded from PS7 since RSE is a great converter & I use it to make a lot of image corrections there before I ever get to PS.
For simple shots that are only cropped & sharpened in PS, I usually delete the tiff after 'cause RawShooter saves the changes made in conversion & I don't need to keep the 3X+ size of the tiff.
For instance, use the Snapshot feature & you can save several versions if you need a light & dark exposure for contrast control. The saved conversion info only takes up about 1KB of disk space.
I'll save complex tiffs with a lot of layers & selections too, but not often.
Generally I'll keep the web jpeg in the root folder to use as an index to what's in the raw files.
And that's just the advantages of using the free version.

I save basic level and chanel Mixer setting and just load it as I need it. Some time if there is alot of photo that needs the same PS I'll reate a action to apply it to all of them.

lostdoggy, what would those settings be? do you generally find that those same settings work for most of your photos that need adjustments?

For level I use 10/1.0/245 in general they work find, but on occassion you might want to treek the midtone up or down. You can adjust it after loading it or switch over to curve which gives you a little more flex. I don't use curve much. In Channel mixer I setup it base on a formula they call Velvia, Fuji slide film, adjust each color base on increasing the channel's color color to +140 and decrease the other to -20. Eg Channel Red inc. red by +140 dec. blue and green to -20. Do this to all the other channels and then save. For non people picture this works well it really brings out the color but on people they seem to turn them a little to red for my liking so I created what I call Velvia lite. Inc. by +120 instead of +140 and dec. the other colors to -10 and do this to each channel. Good luck.
