Here are a couple for my kitchen. All C&C welcome, as I'm always trying to improve.

Taken with a 20D, 50mm 1.8, Av Priority, Tripod (mirror lockup w/ timer to avoid any movement). Anything else? Oh yeah, and some coffee...

As a self-confessed coffeholic, I can honestly say I love these photos. Especially No.1. The bokeh is great and I even like the cup itself in No. 1.

I enjoyed the first one as well although both are good the second was a bit distracting to me. Dennis

As an after thouht, you might experiment with your first image and crop it vertically it so that the beans are in focus in the front of the image and the cup handle and side of the cup are in the back. It could be interesting.

I like them. But I think a bit of focus on the cup would do for the 1st shot.

i Tink i prefer the original 1st picture though. It seemed that it captures the attention of the coffee better

Excellent. I also like the first shot best. Pehaps an improvement could be made in the lighting- maybe a spotlight on the beans themselves or sidelit to really emphasis the texture? Just a thought.
