Flowers are not my thing but i do occasionally think I should shoot something other than wildlife and sport so heres an attempt at a flower, same one two different shots. Second one much more enhanced. I don't have a macro lens yet so these were shot handheld with my canon 100-300 usm lens at F8 400 ISO

they are gorgeous. think they could do with selective blurring on the edges... to give them that typical 'macro' feel... it always ads a beautiful ethereal dimension to petals..
perfect exposure though..lovely.

Thanks, looking forward to getting a decent macro lens some time in the future:-)

look pretty comfortable to me. Is that the only one you have?

Nice images -- you might experiment a bit and move the center of the flower to one side of the frame. Dennis
