Both the movie and the still camera functions of the DSC-M2 were affected by its hybrid still/movie camera aspirations. The standard movies were grainy while the hybrid movies are low resolution and are often interrupted by still image capture. Its still camera functions are also disappointing since the zoom lens can only focus up to 0.4 inch in supermacro mode. The Sony Cyber Shot DSC-M2 is fairly disappointing, even with its 5-megapixel image sensor, 14bit A/D conversion and swiveling 2.5-inch LCD screen (http://photography.qj.net/Sony-Cyber-Shot-DSC-M2-is-a-Major-Disappointment/pg/49/aid/10773#). So for those who are looking for hybrid still/movie cameras, this isn't it.
