What are fair prices for trackday photography CD's? I'm finally gonna do it this summer, if you look around the site....I take a good pic ;) . I'm not sure what to do. Sell CD's with high res pics or low res. and then sell 8x10's or 10x15's etc in full beauty? Make them come to you for a large picture or let them do what ever they want with them for a decent priced CD? Help from the Pro's please

I thought by your sig you would know the answer to your own question.
Never sell CD's on site. It is like the mint giving away the plates to print money. Sell prints and then offer CD's to be sent on, priced per image. Doing it the way round you are suggesting is more work and you have less chance of anyone coming back to you for a print.
People want instant satisfaction, and a print they can take with them is the answer.

The photographer that comes out to the events I attend usually charges around $80 for whatever he took of you that day. In the past it's been anywhere from 30-100 images. The resolution is usually for 8x10's. He sells them on site only for one day only. If you want one after the fact it's per image as Ken mentioned. I personally think it's better to sell 10 CD's at at lower price per image than try to sell 20 images at $40 a copy.
I know I PERSONALLY would not pay $40 an image for me racing but that's because I know I have a wife out in the infield with a 5D and a 500mm lens.
I am facing the same predicament as I will be shooting for my VW club in 3 weeks. I plan on using the images for the club since I am kind of a board member and in charge of photography and web presence. I plan on charging club members $40 a CD and non members per image.
