Sharp sharp! Look at those pupils! Must've been dark where you were shooting... high ISO?
Awesome shots!

The difference is small, but it depends on whether you want to use it wide open alot. I had the 1.8 first and was very happy with it. Then I tried a friends 1.4.....
The 1.4 isn't brilliant at 1.4, but it's better than the 1.8 is at 1.8. The 1.8 needs to be at about f2.5/2.8 before it catches up. At f2.0, the 1.4 is well worth the extra money.

I returned my 1.8 and got the 1.4 a week later. I hated the results from my 1.8. The AF was terrible at times at 1.8 where the 1.4 doesn't seem to suffer from this problem as much. If you can save the money I would recommend it any day over the 1.8. Also the 1.4 is MUCH quieter than the 1.8.
quickben: Nice shots the second one is great.
