Focus Assist of the 420ex on the g2...

I saw a post in one of the previous threads that the focus assist on the 420 can be modified to work by covering up a combination of pins on the hot shoe. can anyone help or point me to the link? the fa light on the g2 is not effective.

thanks for the link... i would have thought that canon would have taken care of this detail... if i needed the fa, then obviously the lighting conditions leaves much to be desired... sigh...
