what settings are optimal for G2 (interpolation method, color table, etc)? As I understand, this software is supposed to be "tunned" for G2, but the results I get are much worse than, for example, canon raw converter produce.
Thank you

Powershovel is a very good product! It produce a very good raw conversion ( for me better than canon) in VNG mode.
Tuned for G2! Because the author of Powershovel own a G2 so the profiles provided with the product should be accurate!

Pictures that I convert with powershovel look in some sense more real: one can see more details. Powershovel is also faster than other converters. But the pictures from powershovel have too much gray and need more processing. So, taking all the aspects into account, I like more the output from breezebrowser or canon raw converters.
Is it possible that I am converting with wrong settings? What color profile should I use? CrefLUT1212lin_xlp3?

Sorry but i never use profiled LUF i only use the neutral LUF in linear mode 16 bits TIF.
Too much grey?
Do you have a TFT display? This could comes from the lower RGB values due to keep highlights. I always adjust the contrast (BP and WP) as a first stage.
