G'day,

I've got a very american wedding coming up - and there will be 3 70's shaped Corvettes as transport - I was wondering if anyone had suggestions/examples of posing B&G and wedding party shots around these classics? I want to make them instantly recognisable as Vettes, and highlight their unique curves!

We don't see many Vettes in Australia, so it's bound to be a unique wedding.

(Oh, I've searched through HEAPS of Vette books, and have the stock shots down pat - but I need some more creative angles)

For our wedding we had gorgeous hot rods with wicked motors, the photographer lifted the bonnets and had all the guys just looking in the motors...i dont know if this would help at all? The shots came out WICKED! My favourite out of the lot!

Pic of the sideview with both of their reflections. Pic of the rearview with them kissing. Mimic a motion shot with hair waving. Groom adjusting mirror, and bride in the mirror's reflection.
Just some thoughts.

G'day Karl,

Actually we're going to get the G to drive along with the B by his side and I am taking shots from the lead Vette (convertible) so I'll be sitting backwards for some shots, and forwards with camera out the side for ones of the rear - trying desperately to get the tiny little rear view mirror in focus - with TWO moving vehicles! Will be a wild exercise for sure!!! Also getting the standard shots of B&G at 90 degree angle while moving, blurred backgrouind etc.

Popping the bonnet and having all the G's men looking in *may* work - problem is the bonnets open from the front, not from the bottom of the windscreen...but it only takes 10 seconds to try it and see!

Oh, and we're also going to try one of the G doing a small burnout with the B looking on shaking her head disapprovingly...hopefully there won't be any government workers with cars with lights on the roof in the vicinity... ;)

Many thanks for the ideas!

Heres an image I took recently for a tuning company.

I would do something like that, with the groom driving, and the window rolled down (if you guys can drive the cars).

If you have a '68 to '72 in the lot, the chrome front is their distinguishing feature. Maybe a shot of them sharing a moment while sitting infront of the car composed with the lines of the chrome grille leading towards them.

Also, why not somehow get the "corvette" name and double flag logo in there somewhere. Close in on it and have the B&G blurred out in the close background. It seems they are partial to corvettes so it wouldn't be a bad thing to have a couple shots that really show the car's heritage.
