I've outruled Breezebrowser based on comments here, so I've gotta ask this:
Besides the RAW conversion, why would I get C1 if I already have PS7 ?
I currently use Canon's FVU to convert the RAW and then go to PS7 from there.
Is there something I missing before I go to PS7 that C1 can give me??
Thanks

I downloaded C1LE about 10 days ago and I am in love with it already. I haven't used PS since. No manually opening or closing files. No waiting for one file to process before working on the next. You can process one image and pass the settings on to as many others as you like. All settings are quickly previewed on screen.
I really like the sharpening algorithims.

Wings, Paws and Claws…
I’m reprocessing all my favorite images with C1LE – in fact I found it so flexible and powerful a tool that I invested in a processor upgrade for my aging G4 Mac and run C1 seamlessly under Virtual PC 6.0 (works great!). I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. Here are a couple of examples:
D60 Canon 24-70L f2.8
http://www.haskellct.com/EE_Galleries/Gallery1/photo.php?photo=448&size=default&exhibition=9
D60 Canon 70-200L IS f2.8
http://www.haskellct.com/EE_Galleries/Gallery1/photo.php?photo=444&size=default&exhibition=9
I now “develop” all my raw images with C1LE, and often find no need at all to touch them with anything else. That said, there are still many features in PS7 that will never be in CaptureOne – for me they are complimentary tools.

yes, the links are working now. I saw the pics too, however, must admit, I dont see anything strikingly different in the images.
How is C1 export different from BreezeBrowser technically? Any takers?

There's no way to answer this as the software uses different algorithms that are not known to the general public. BB uses the Canon SDK and gives essentially the same results as FVU, Phase One have developed C1 DSLR using their own interpolation routines. I posted a few pictures with BB and C1LE versions here: http://www.rogercavanagh.com/helpinfo/19_c1vsbb.htm
so you can see a direct comparison using overlays.
I would say that most (but not all) BB users who have tried C1LE prefer the C1LE results.

Roger-
Well done! I think I have made up my mind to purchase C1. Are you sure you aren't getting a kick-back from Phase One?? :))

Hi,
I decided to take the test and bought the programm.
This is a step forward from the Adobe RAW plug-in.
I shoot rather alot of pictures sometimes (over 200 is rather normal on a day out), and with Capture One the after work is so much quicker.
Most of the time I just want to make good viewable JPEG's from the RAW's so a bit Exposure correction and sharpening does the job perfectly in 90% of the cases.
I LOVE the batch option.
Greetings,
Frank
