I chose not to install the software because I don't use it, rather I just needed the twain drivers to work with my graphics program. So that's exactly what I did and it worked flawlessly. But then comes another problem. How do I import the videos? When I connect up the camera, it asks for 1 driver and I place in the picture one and I can't tell it to install the video TWAIN driver. Anyone know another way?

Have u tried a card reader?
I hate that being the responce to any problem, but in this case because you dont want the software it might be a way.

Dot know if u have to install software for it and would be able to pull videos off for sure.

Cheers mate, thanks for the tip. I did consider that, but it would mean having to buy another piece of equipment. Guess it would be worth it cos it'll save on the batteries and would be better when I need to download files to another PC.

But still, I find it strange that there's no way to install the video TWAIN drivers.

Why don't you just install the TWAIN-driver from the solution Disc?
Shouldn't be a problem downloading video / pictures without the rest of the software pack, since you can do it in a lot of different ways, e.g with Imaging (comes with Win98& Win2K).
