Last sunday I was having a walk in the center of Rome.... People is always a good subject there, and I happened to step in an advertisments movie set.
Here are some of the shots I took.
Critiques are always welcome!

Thanks

Tiziano

:D Not really... It's an ad for the biggest mobile telephony services provider. The woman in the car and guy in white uniform are famous italian actors.

Great series- really reminds me of the feeling in Italy with the lovers, the beautiful women, the uniformed police and of course, everyone smoking.

Excellent series, good street shooting! The last one is my fave, great expression. I must ask, how do people react to being photographed there, usually?

It really depends on places and situations. In heavily tourist-polluted environments (hey, nothing against tourists, but here when is the season - which means almost all year round - its really a mess) its very diffuclt that somebody complaints.

In other areas you can be questioned, but its not illegal so it ain't no big problem.

Tiziano, my friend. It is good to see you are spending some time home in Rome, and finding time to get out and shoot some photos. I hope your new baby is doing well?

Very nice captures of the actors. Which piazza was that taking place in?

The piazza in piazza Navona, in the city center. During the Roman empire age, there was a system for floading it, and romans had battleship fights in it.

Thanks for the link Tiziano. Looks like you blended in well. They don't seem to notice another camera wandering around at all.

 Reality was slightly different... Piazza Navona, Sunny Sunday morning.... there were so many tourists with cameras that the movie workers just didn't see you anymore.... :)

Well, I have been photographing people in many places around the world, and I think that there is not much difference from one place to another. Mostly, it depends from you: if you make it plain, that you are taking pictures, or talk to them, explain what you are doing, who you are, where are you from, no problem (with a few exceptions! :D ) . If you try to hide your camera, or disguise the fact that you are shooting pics, people will not like it, and you don't know what could happen.
Anyway, in piazza Navona, there are about 10 cameras for square meter... If anybody wanted to complain, he wouldn't know from where to start! :)

I know the piazza Navona well. I bought my wife an emerald bracelet in an antique store at the end of the piazza when we were in Rome, and all the ladies in our group bought scarfs from the peddlars in the piazza.

Your bambino is cute, and your wife looks like she is enjoying the baby as well.

Ciao.
