Lovely shot ! brought back memories for me as I grew up a few miles from there , could see that tower from my bedroom and spent many days playing in the grounds there , Thanks:D

I know almost exactly where you're standing. It's a very strange place indeed.

I do like the shot but it's hard to get the scale of the tower.

Simon - I know what you mean about scale. I have a few other shots but none of them do the job any better. Do you have any ideas about how to capture the scale?

A well composed shot. Did you do any pp work? I wonder if the shadowed side of the bridge could be improved with some selective dodging and burning.

I don't think it's really possible, to be honest. The strangely purpose-free and run down architecture round there is so interesting, but the tower could only be made to look large by getting closer to it, and then you'd miss all that good stuff.

There's some pretty strange 60s art triangle things around the leisure centre too if I remember right. I do find the whole thing very peculiar. And don't even mention the orange dinosaurs in the park! What a weird place!
