Mom, Dad and Grandmother in the back. The fathers smile for his son-in-law is what makes this picture for me. Comments? :-) ...Bob

Nice shot with a lot of emotion.

It's the facial centers of attention I like - people are looking at the bride and goom which focuses your attention. It conveys a lot of feeling.

Get closer. Snapshots do capture what was going on as in here. Wed-photogs need to do more than snapshots.

Maybe just a couple of feet closer though. I agree we need good tight shots to separate us from the P&S crowd, but if you get too close on this one you will the eliminate the guest at the right with the polka-dot dress.... and she's got an expression :D . Just my .02.

I love it, but I think that I would love it even more in Black and White. Great Candid

This is a snapshot. You gotta isolate these emotions more. Sure the polka-dot lady expression is good too, but there's too much going on here. Even a shorter DOF would have helped.

A tighter crop would certainly help this shot a lot.

I like it the way it is. give the b&g a hugh sense of love and affection. Also shows that there was a lot of people at the church. Many brides like that, the bigger the better. I am not saying that a tighter crop would be bad. It would isolate the b&g's emotions for sure, which would also make a great shot.

Thanks for commenting. My idea was that the 4 in the foreground would be larger than life and the crowd would make an interesting background. In looking at the picture, I think it does just that and now that I see it, I wish I had shot it just a little wider and included a little more background. :-) ...Bob

Oh, I don't know sharp, I think you did just fine with your initial instincts ;) . I'd be proud to present that as a choice to one of my clients.

I think that most candid shots look better in black and white. I would try this one in B&W. Nice shot though
