Come on guys I am waiting for something to cheer me up on this dull Monday morning.
I am sure I saw some of you lurking about together with your rocket launcher sized lenses

I wasn't going to post any shots from this meeting, but since Dan has asked...
edit: Anyway, I'd better add some images or the moderator will move it off to "galleries" or somewhere....
#1 The oil slick generating Avensis Dan mentioned

#2 Formula Ford cleaning out it's side pods by breaking for Druids Hairpin after a quick trip through the Paddock Hill gravel trap. I bet his fellow competitors really appreciated him scattering kitty litter all over the racing line.

#3 One of those "twinkly light" shots Simon mentioned

nice one Glenn, it was nice of the avensis to pop his sump all over the track infront of me. Some nice shots there mate.
Look forward to seeing you through out the season.

Some nice shots Glenn. I'm glad that the season is getting back underway.
Looks like there was a good range of machinery out on Sunday. I really like the shot of the maroon Pug 106 with the 'star burst' reflection off the badge on the grille. I also like some of the lighting effects you've captured from the cars that were running with headlamps on, particularly the Honda Civic. Adds a nice touch to the shots.
Cheers,
Simon.

Yeah, the Avensis left quite a trail of oil round the circuit it certainly kept you boys busy. The resultant dust clouds in the next race from all the cement you guys had to put down in order to soak up his little oil slick didn't help the photographer's cause much either!
How to win friends and influence people! Still, he did get me one decent picture ;)

Cheers Simon, it was a funny old day with a lot of refugees from other series using the event as an early season shakedown. That led to some rather strange grids. The lighting also did the whole range from bright sunlight to fairly dark. Still, it was good to get the big telephotos out again and remind myself how to shoot race cars.

Nice shots there Glenn...all 208 of them. Someone's been busy slaving over a hot PC

:) Yeah we got some sun. We also got some overcast stuff and some fairly dark periods. A bit of everything really!
There are quite a few shots there aren't there? I had to make sure the cameras and lenses were working properly though! ;) I didn't spend long on the PC. Most of those are straight out of the camera with perhaps a little crop on some of them. I really limit myself to resizing and default sharpening because I don't like post processing. It bores me.
