View Full Version : Q 4 people who use the 85mm 1.2L at Weddings?

In a dark church, I assume that you would go to 1.2. According to the DOF calculations, at 30 feet, at 1.2 it has a DOF of only 3 inches. Is this enough?!?!? It seems so thin!

What is you experience with this?

What calculator are you using? I would think it'd be more like 30" or 3ft.

But now that I've done it again, it says 2.51 feet - much better. Does anyone here use one? Are there any samples or tips you want to share?

Thin is great, assuming your camera can nail the focus. SO if you have a 1 series camera, you're golden ... but it would be much more hit or miss with the 20D.
