Apart from one other member I know of, are there any other members here from Germany?

Hi Andy, thanks for the welcome. I was beginning to wonder if bbulldog and I are the only ones from Germany on the board .... anyway pleased to meet you! I'm further up north, near Hannover, on the edge of the Lüneburger Heide.

Hi Scott,
are you based in Germany too?
Others from the US (or Canada) I know of are insomnia and myth337

As this thread seems to mix up people from everywhere having some relationship with germany, I'll join in and say hi too...
I'm neither German nor from Germany, but when I look east from where I live, I see the valley of the river Mosel (how do you call it in English...?) which is the natural border between Luxembourg and Germany.
Plus I'm speaking german quite well (learned it some 30 years ago in school, in fact it was my first foreign language at the age of 6...) and I'm working with germans (people crossing the border for work: Grenzgänger) here in Luxembourg.
So if by chance someone joins in and lives near to the Luxembourgish border (Rheinland-Pfalz or Saarland) that would be the closest to my place... actually, the closest is surely Andy in Stuttgart (still 350 km though...)

I am German too. Born in Stuttgart (hi Andy!), raised in Erlangen and now living in sunny California.

Good for you :D
There is also Schmoelzel, but he decided to emigrate to not-so-sunny Toronto...

Hi bbulldog,

I'm not from Germany but I lived there for three years when I was younger (age 4-7). Count for anything?;)
Actually attended 1st grade at the local school house. I don't know if that counts for anything?
I wouldn't trade living in Germany for three years for anything. :)

Cyril,
good to hear that :D
It's a nice place to live in.
And not particularly large, so our paths might cross one day
Best regards,
Andy

yes, it's quite nice, especially today, since the weather is so nice! :D
It's unfortunate I've got so much stuff to do for university.. :(
Yes our paths might very well cross ;)
