error 2 scrambled flash card !!

recieved error code 2 on my D60 while doing some macro photography. turned the camera off and then back on . everything seemed fine but upon downloading realized that the two files prior to error are listing with garbled headings and I cant access them. card is lexar 128 4x . Help I really need those files.

Did you turn off and turn on while the camera was still trying to write to the CF card (the red LED was still on)?

Did you do anything else, like fool with the battery?

Have a card reader? Then you can try this freeware application:

much thanks for the help.
no the card wasnt downloding when I turned it off and wasnt fooling with battery.
I called Lexar and they gave me a return number iin order to send it in. I t leaves today via ups and I will post my results ( about a week turnaround they said)

great news! I returned the scrambled card to Lexar and they returned it to me 7 days later with all the files descrambled and saved on a burned cd along with a brand new flash card. no charge! yes I am a happy camper.
