Taking pictures? If you are wondering what Image Stabilizer means it is a technology that helps compensate for camera shake.

How come you're purchasing new lenses if you don't know what you want? I assume you don't know what you want because you don't know what those lenses are for.
PS, what do the rolling eyes mean at the end of your question? I don't understand it In this context.

If you are looking for a general purpose, walk-around lens, the 28-135 IS will fit that bill very well. And the IS will help in handholding the camera in low light situations. That was the lens I was using on my camera before I moved up to the 24-70 lens.

The pictures from the 28-135 IS are pretty good too, especially when stopped down a little. With the aperture wide open, the picture may be a bit soft but it not bad though.

The 70-300 would be useful if you need more reach than the 28-135 provides, like for sports or wildlife. IS, again, will be very useful on this lens, espcially on the long telephoto end. Other than that, I don't have any experience with this lens so I can't say any more about it.
