DTM.... WOW :D :D :D First time I've ever seen them or paid much attention to them... holy cow

This was only testing but I was pretty amazed, 100 times better than our own British Touring Cars. Was again very cold (always is!!!) but there was plenty of on track action. Well worth it :)

Here's a couple of "forum friendly sized" photos...

#1 One of my first shots of the day. Think I stood here for about an hour just watching them go by. Quality :)

#2 Tom Kristensen sparking out of Paddock Hill. This guys' a legend!

#3 Approaching Druids...

#4 Couldn't resist going back to Paddock Hill Bend...

#5 Ouch! Pierre Kaffer crashes right infront of me at Clearways... quite a heavy hit, couldn't get any shots of the impact though, not a good angle plus rusty fence in the way. Here's moments later though... He was fine btw :)

Comments are most welcomed, I try to improve everytime I shoot so just say what you think, good or bad. Last time I feel I had issues with shots being a little too dark on certain monitors, I've tried to address that (if it's actually possible). Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Nice work :) These shots looks pretty spectacular but I have to admit that the last time I saw these boys race (Donington Park a couple of years ago) it was thunderously boring. I fell asleep in fact.

The colours and brightness look fine from where I'm viewing these.

Az,

Shots 1 to 4 are simply awesome. Great timing on the sparks, and excellent shutter speed. Would have to say that my pick of the bunch would by #3. I really like that angle at Brands, and as far as I can see you've got just about everything with this shot spot on - colours DoF, everything :D .

If we continue to get shots posted like this and the others posted on recent threads across the season, I can see that I'm going to enjoy this forum immensely during 2006!

Cheers,

Simon.

Well done you took some great shots , i love the pictures with the sparks, but for some strange reason No 3 really stands out as a great picture.
Keep up the good work

Cheers Glenn. Really?!?! LOL. Hopefully the race at Brands later this year will live up to expectations. I'm so sure it will :)

Phew.... good. Really has opened my eyes how different my photos look on different PC's/monitors. A top quality print can never be replaced :)

Cheers Simon. Yes I like no.3 too, don't think I've shot quite that angle before. Just shows what difference a few meters lower/higher or to the side makes :)

Yeh this place is littered with incredible talent, I can just lose half an hour looking through old posts. So much inspiration. The only thing that gets me is when there's 10+ threads on the same event. Sure I enjoy seeing everyones shots but sometimes it's a bit much... nice to see we've got a lot of motorsport fans here though :)

You wern't the only one! I think there were a few of us like that... I think my first hour was spent frozen still at Paddock Hill :)

Superb Shots Andrew.

You got excellent results at Paddock hill bend. I'm struggled behind the fence there, perhapps i didn't stay there long enough. Probably saw you at one point.

Here's a couple of mine from the day. (click on images to enlarge)
