Simple question.
There's quite a few names thrown out there, but Im talking about the upcoming 8mp camera to replace the 1D. Some say that it will be an eos 3 version, and some say that it will have the same specs as the 1d. either way it will hopfully bring 1d price down. on that note, I am waiting (very vvery very very patiently ) for them to hurry so I can make the digital switch .

I guess my question is, any news or actual facts? Or just BS?

Phil Askey has a qoute on dpreview "Don't sit on your hands" so it will probably be quite a wait. No ones got a D2H yet and it will probably be the end of the year before this camera is readily available.

Sorry head was somewhere else. The Dx flipped my mind into Nikon mode. New Canon should be announced 20th August.

I was in a major chain electronics store yesterday purchasing a compact card and I spoke to the sales person about a 1Dx. He confirmed that it is coming very soon and he had training on the camera in 2 weeks. He did not know price but it was hinted that it was significant?!? Did confirm 8mp and 8 fps rate.
