What do you need help with? I find the book reviews on amazon.com helpful. "Understanding Exposure" is a widely recommended book too.

Hi I need info on understanding shutter speed and exposure and just how to take better photo's. What's the best book I can buy for someone like me just getting started in photography?

Hi Chris!

Definitely take a look at Bryan Peterson's 'Understanding Exposure' like Tim recommended. I've gotten more out of it than any others so far.

There is a sticky on one of the discussion threads here that lists several good authors. John Freeman is definately on that list.
